Apple Eyes September 8 Launch for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, Report Shows

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely debut on September 8 as per the report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Although Apple has not yet officially confirmed the launch date of its next-generation flagship iPhones, the company is widely expected to follow its traditional September release schedule. The reported launch date means the iPhone 18 Pro lineup will likely arrive within the first two weeks of September.
How Much Will the iPhone 18 Pro Cost?
As Apple plans the iPhone 18 Pro Max launch, the company has not revealed the pricing yet. The tech giant recently raised MacBook and iPad prices amidst rising memory chip costs. The price hike did not affect iPhones, but it’s unclear whether the exemption includes iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
But it’s possible that the company has secured sufficient memory ahead of the smartphone launch. Previously, IDC had suggested that iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max might cost up to $200 more compared to its predecessors.
“My personal instinct says the hike to iPhones may be even higher than what we assumed, perhaps even $200 to the Pro and Pro Max models. I think the days of $50 price increases are over,” IDC VP for India Navkendar Singh said as cited by India Today.
Going by these estimates, the price for iPhone Pro could cost up to $1,299. iPhone Pro 18 Max’s retail price could range between $1,349 and $1,399. For the foldable iPhone, rumors suggest a premium price of about $2000, with a previous report claiming that the tech giant ordered 3 million OLED panels for the new device.
Which Other Devices Will Launch at the Apple Event?
Several other devices are expected to launch at the Apple September event. The tech giant is expected to unveil its first foldable smartphone, iPhone Ultra alongside iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The company is also expected to unveil new wearables, including Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple Watch Ultra 4. The company has not released details about Apple Watch Series 12. However, Apple Watch Ultra 4 could reportedly feature the company’s biggest redesign.
But Apple’s product lineup for 2027 is expected to be the biggest the company has ever had. Some of the products that the tech giant will be launching next year include special iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max to mark the 20th anniversary for the iPhone. The company will also be launching iPhone Air 2 and iPhone Ultra 2 in the coming year.

The iPhone 18 Pro launch timeline allows Apple sufficient time to begin shipping the new iPhones by mid-September and recognize sales before the end of the fiscal quarter. The timeline also enables Apple to ensure retail stores are well stocked ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.
