Adobe has updated its Creative Cloud products with new functionalities. The latest update focuses on introducing AI automation to streamline creative tasks while reducing manual tasks in production workflows.

Every creative project has moments that are essential and moments that are simply necessary, and every minute spent on the latter is time away from the work that matters most to you. Today we’re sharing new features and upgrades designed to remove that friction and keep you in creative control, so you can get back to your craft,” Adobe stated on its website.

The Adobe Creative Cloud update comes a month after the design software company introduced Firefly AI assistant to its video and photo editing software suite. The creative agentic tool executes instructions from creatives to generate desired outcomes.

What’s New in the Adobe Creative Cloud Update?

Adobe Creative Cloud AI features update introduces new tools to multiple applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After effects, and Premiere. Here are the features that Adobe has introduced to each application:

1. Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Premiere Pro has received AI tools to support editing, captioning, and audio tasks. The AI tools include the Marker Search and the Global Audio Mute tool. The update also adds a set of visual effects including Channel Blur, Noise FX, and Gradient. Adobe has also introduced additional transitions to Premiere Pro, including Slide and 3D Spinback.

2. Adobe Lightroom
Adobe Lightroom update introduced the Assisted Culling feature. The new tool comes with the Face View, a tool that analyzes facial details and isolates them to enable photo evaluation. Assisted Culling also groups similar images automatically, allowing users to manage images easily.

3. Adobe Photoshop
Adobe is giving Photoshop users more control over reflection removal and cleanup. The Reflection Removal tool automatically detects reflections in images and removes them. The tool can isolate reflections in a separate layer, giving users control over opacity. With the Removal tool, users can edit their workflows anytime using a generative AI model.

4. Adobe After Effects
Adobe’s latest update introduces new tools in After Effect that allow creators to complete complex motion work faster. The new Object Matte feature reimagines rotoscoping. It replaces the Roto Brush with Quick Selection, Object Selection, Selection Brush, and Refine Edge that complete tasks with AI precision. An update to 3D in After Effects allows users to add real surface depth to Displacement Maps and use scripting APIs in complex scenes.

5. Adobe Illustrator
Adobe has added a Concept to Vector feature in Illustrator to enable designers turn their rough concepts into finished images faster. The new tool turns low-quality assets or sketches into clean, editable vector drafts. Creators can use it to generate several variations from a single source image or sketch within Illustrator.

What Other Changes Has Adobe Introduced?

Adobe has added a Photo to Video to Lightroom. Powered by Google Veo and Firefly, the tool can generate motion from still images. Another tool, AI Sharpen integrates the Noise-Aware Sharpen model into Lightroom. The design software giant said its latest Creative Cloud will be available to subscribers starting this week.
