  • Users can prompt the Acrobat AI assistant using natural language
  • Adobe has updated PDF Spaces with new sharing and publishing capabilities

Adobe has introduced an AI productivity agent that organizes models and tools to create images, text, and content within Acrobat. Adobe has also added new sharing and publishing capabilities to its document sharing platform, PDF Spaces. The update allows the platform to combine PDFs, links, documents, and notes into a personalized space for users and viewers.

What is Adobe Productivity Agent?

The design company describes Adobe Acrobat AI agent as an assistant that can connect to external tools and handle tasks autonomously. The productivity tool is designed to work alongside Adobe’s creative agent and can also integrate with agents developed by third parties.

Additionally, users can prompt the Acrobat AI assistant using natural language. Using the prompts, the agentic tool generates content summaries, titles, images, audio overviews, and customized documents. The AI agent can also extract context from different files, aligning the final output with user preferences.

“We’re bringing together decades of Acrobat’s document intelligence with agents to help people discover insights faster, generate visually rich content effortlessly and share interactive experiences with customised agents that convey their tone and intent,” Adobe President for Creativity & Productivity Business, David Wadhwani noted in a company statement.

The company is making the productivity agent available to subscribers of Adobe Acrobat AI plans, including AI Assistant, Acrobat Studio, and Adobe Express Premium. The features are also available in Adobe Express, the new offering that combines content generation and document insights.

Adobe Introduces a New Document Sharing Format

Adobe, which recently integrated Gemini 3 Nano Banana Pro into Photoshop and Firefly, has also introduced a new sharing format powered by its AI document assistant. With PDF Spaces, users can use agentic tools to develop a workspace that includes PDFs, documents, links, and notes.

They can customize the workspace by adding context, clear structure, and multimedia elements to documents based on their preferences. Any Adobe user can view PDF Spaces without requiring an account.

“We’re not just adding new features, we’re introducing a new format. For the first time, sharing documents means sharing an experience that’s tailored to your intended audience, whether that’s a client, a team or a million subscribers. Now, every one of those experiences can be as personal and purposeful as the work that went into creating it,” Adobe Document Cloud SVP Abhigyan Modi said.

Adobe’s Agentic AI Strategy

The new agentic tools are part of Adobe’s wider plan to integrate AI into its design tools. They highlight Adobe’s broader “agentic” strategy where AI systems complete tasks across documents, data, and workflows, rather than simply respond to prompts.

The new agentic tools are part of Recently, the company launched Firefly AI assistant, a creative agentic tool that helps users complete tasks across its video and photo editing software suite.
